The Product Promotion "Do" List

You may find yourself wondering what you can possibly do to promote a product when there are so many bigger businesses out there that have trained employees construct sites to advertise their products. Well, to put it simply, do exactly as they do. Here are some guidelines that may help you attain that ever-elusive page rank on Google.

1. Learn HTML and PHP: Having a good knowledge of website programming will quadruple your chances of attracting viewers. But the main point of this is to keep them coming back again and again. And you can't do that by just making a site and leaving it there for a long time; unlike some things, they don't get better as they age. You have to actively add content, change images, and update links to keep people interested.

2. Create your own content: If you post your own handmade/handwritten content on your site it will retain interest due to its originality. Make your own YouTube documentary of the product that you are promoting to drastically improve your credibility (that's IF you make a decent video). Using your own pictures will help remind your viewers that you too are a human being. Showing them images of you, your family, pet(s?), etc. will allow you to develop an digital personality for your viewers to trust.

3. Use correct English: Remember your high school English lessons? Same here. Knowing them well will come in handy when you are trying to gain your viewers' trust and/or persuade them into buying a good product. But remember, limit your language and appeals to keep your contents' tone neutral or positive (a few minutes on Wikipedia should help refresh your memory if needed). Use this correctly, and you could appear as a gentleman helping your viewers in the right direction, or as one of the crowd, expressing your opinions.

4. Use correct grammar: Goes hand-in-hand with correct English. Pair the two for a powerful tool, but remember to keep your content at the desired tone and reading level... Uber l33t haxor is probably not the right term usage for confronting higher-education viewers (Extravagantly incogitable exasperated technological specialist should be better).

5. Be moral, ethical, and truthful: This may seem to be a hard one to do, especially when you want someone to buy a product. If you are somehow able to master this...your competition will probably want to hire you...at the least.

Well, that concludes the Product Promotion "Do" List. There really is much more to know, but this should give you a good basis to go off of (and I didn't want to scare you away with a massive essay that wouldn't all fit here anyway).
